Rest & Restore

These 3-hour restorative workshop will give you the ‘me’ time you’ve been promising yourself but not quite found the time for.

Come and relax deeply in a series of postures where you are propped up, supported and nurtured for an extended period of time. Perfect if you are feeling weak, tired, stressed or recovering from injury, but also just for life – an opportunity to re-charge.

 

Release muscle tension

Our habitual response to stress means our muscles get stuck in the “on” position 24/7. With somatic movement we find and then fully release tight muscles. With restored muscle function we get to move and relax better.

Cultivate mindfulness

This session could also be described as ‘mindful movement’. The slower pace helps increase your awareness. Listening to your body is a great starting point.

Be supported and held

Nurturing supported yoga postures. Bolsters, blocks and blankets prop you – no muscular effort required! Notice the wave of your breath and the softening of the mind’s grip.

Mantras for modern life

The hearing and repeating of yoga sound or ‘mantras’ are the perfect end. They are the ‘adding in’ rather than the ‘taking away’, and lead us back to our true nature, to wisdom and inner peace.

Enjoy time for yourself to reset and fully relax

It’s not a luxury after all, but a necessity for good health.

Sunday 7 April 2019 – 2.30-5.30 pm

Saturday 18 May 2019 – 2.00-5.00 pm

Cost:

£30.00, including refreshments (Tea & Cake!) 

Places are limited, so book early to secure your place. Full payment online is required at the time of booking.

Once a booking is confirmed refunds cannot be given but it may be possible to transfer to a future date if someone on the waiting list is able to take the space. 

The Restorative Workshops are a treat; I feel rejuvenated afterwards and especially enjoy the calming meditation practice at the end.
